Please read and understand the Terms & Conditions of sale prior to purchasing your vehicle. A copy shall be sent to you with your order forms. When signing your order forms, you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Abbreviations
Matt Cardy Specialist Cars shall be known as 'The Agent' from here on in. 'The Purchaser' is a customer who enteres into a contract with Matt Cardy Specialist Cars to purchase a vehicle. 'The Supplier' shall be the dealership, motor dealer, and/or company, from whom, Matt Cardy Specialist Cars procure the vehicle.
2. Ordering
(a) The Agent will act on behalf of the Purchaser, as an Agent to arrange the purchase of a vehicle chosen by the Purchaser.
(b) The Contract of Sale is between the Purchaser and the Seller.
(c) The Purchase is subject to the following:
(d) An Order Form from the Agent, accepted and signed by the Purchaser.
(e) A Contract from the Supplier, where applicable, accepted and signed by the Purchaser.
(f) A deposit of upto £2,000 Sterling, paid by the Purchaser direct to The Agent which is held in an account until the transaction is complete and the car is delivered and accepted.
(g) The Delivery time quoted is approximate and subject to the availability of the vehicle and any delays imposed by the manufacturer.
(h) Any requested changes to the specification of the vehicle must be made through The Agent and confirmed in writing. There is no guarantee that the manufacturer will incorporate these changes once a build date has been confirmed.
(i) In the event of supply being suspended by the Manufacturer resulting in an inability to supply the car to the Purchaser, an alternative may be offered. However, should this not be a suitable alternative, The Agent or Supplier shall not take responsibility for any change of cost incurred.
3. Prices (New Cars)
(a) Imports - All prices that are quoted in £ (Pounds Sterling) and are calculated using the exchange rate applicable on that day and are subject to any currency fluctuations.
The quoted price is made up of the following components:
(b) Sellers costs which include, the price of the vehicle, the delivery from the factory to the suppliers premises, the pre-delivery inspection and preparation, and any other agreed costs incurred by the supplier.
(c) Transportation costs to include, transport and shipping costs from the Seller to the any UK Port.
(d) Arrangement fee, which can vary dependant upon the Make and Model of Vehicle required.
(e) UK VAT calculated at 17.5%.
(f) Road Fund Licence and Government's first Registration Fee
(g) Delivery to your door can be arranged at extra cost upon request. (Where applicable)
(h) The Supplier and The Agent reserves the right to pass on any increases of price imposed by the manufacturer, normally due to model year specification enhancements, or manufacturers price increases. The Agent will notify you without delay of any such changes.
4. Payments
(a) An additional Deposit is payable upon ordering your new car. The Agent will notify you of what quantity of the total sale price of the vehicle is payable. Normally 10-25% is taken as a deposit.
(b) The Deposit can usually be paid directly to the supplier. However, in certain cases and certain manufacturers, this will not be possible and The Agent will make you aware of this at the time of placing your order.
(c) Strictly under no circumstances, shall an order be placed with The Supplier until the deposit has been accepted and cleared funds are available with the Supplier and or The Agent.
(d) The deposit is non refundable once the order has been placed with and accepted by the manufacturer.
(e) To be made by the Purchaser direct to the Supplier once the Final Invoice has been checked and authorised for payment by the Agent.
(f) The final payment for all vehicles is to be made when the vehicle is ready for shipping. Failure to pay for the vehicle within 2-4 weeks of the vehicle becoming ready for shipping, may result in the vehicle being sold to another Purchaser. This is at the Suppliers discretion. The Supplier may also reserve the right to use the Deposit in part or in full to compensate for any extra discounts given to dispose of the vehicle.
(g) The Agent will advise you on how to pay. Usually a 'Chaps' transfer is made from The Purchasers bank account to the Suppliers Bank account.
(h) Credit and Debit Card Payments cannot and will not be taken.
5. Currency
(a) Because all exchange rates are subject to daily fluctuations, we would advise you to protect yourself against the risk of any increase in the price of your vehicle because of the exchange rate, by considering fixing the currency rate.
(b) The Agent will advise you to seek independent financial advice regarding currency fixing and purchases.
(c) The Agent or Supplier will not guarantee against any currency fluctuations. The Agent shall advise you to forward purchase your currency when the rate is on your favour. Failure to take this advise will not be the fault of The Agent.
6. Specifications
(a) All vehicles, with the exception of American vehicles will be ordered with Full UK specification.
(b) The Agent will notify you of any cars on sale that are not to UK specification.
7. American Cars
(a) American Cars are subject to an SVA Test when they enter the UK. This will be carried out for you and included within the price of the Vehicle.
(b) Also included in the price of the vehicle, in UK Pounds Sterling is the import duty of 10% for cars. Trucks and Pick-Ups are subject to 25% import duty and VAT in the UK at the current rate.
